Dress Your "Age" ~ NOT!!

I just saw a post on Facebook about dressing your age.   I understand when certain looks don't work on certain bodies at any age.  It's in good taste to accentuate the positive no matter where you are on your life journey.   However, ask yourself WHO made up these fashion "RULES" and WHY do you care?

 Does it make you happy to wear whimsical and fun accessories, shoes, handbags, etc . . . 
STOP taking yourself so seriously.  People are going to think what they think NO matter how hard you try to fit in.  Where are the articles about doing what you want if it makes you happy!!  If you are happy then you are spreading Happiness. It doesn't matter if it's "in" or "out" or "young" or "old" ~ Do you like it?  Do you enjoy wearing it?  Then GO for it.  Lighten UP and enjoy the ride through ALL the decades. 

 Just ask me . . . I sport rainbow hair and overalls and BIG earrings and 10 piercings and tattoos and funky shoes and jewelry and it doesn't matter to me what people are saying . . . LAUGH out loud!  I'm in JOY; and most importantly I've brought you JOY!!  

 Now isn't that better?

    Amen! I purged my closet of 3 pairs of overalls several years ago because of a similar article, and I MISS THEM. They were some of the most comfy clothes I owned. Now, I need to find some new ones...

    And a woman I know (who is 80) has been seen wearing witch costumes, gypsy apparel, stilletos, etc. She says, "Life is too short - I wear what I want".
